Rosenberg & Schapiro, P.C. was established in 1994 as a full service firm providing litigation services and corporate representation to a broad range of businesses, not-for-profit institutions, public agencies, and individuals with complex legal needs. Since its inception, the firm’s areas of practice and client representation have reflected the unique partnership of the firm’s founding members. Prior to establishing the firm, David W. Rosenberg was a “big firm” attorney and managing partner of one of Boston’s premier law firms. Saul A. Schapiro was managing a substantial litigation and general business representation practice in a small firm setting. Although practicing law in different contexts, by the early 1990’s, each of them had developed a sophisticated and extensive practice in representing for-profit and not-for-profit clients in both private and public sector law.

In establishing the firm, the founding partners were guided by the principle that clients are best served by marrying the benefits of big firm and small firm practice. Their goals for the firm were to provide the highest quality legal services at the most sophisticated levels of practice while ensuring for each client the focused commitment, cost-efficiencies, and personal attention of the small firm setting. Since its establishment, Rosenberg & Schapiro, P.C. has served long-standing clients as outside general counsel or as special counsel on a continuing, as-needed basis. The firm also handles individual transactional or litigation matters on a referral or one-time basis. The firm’s experience, however, is that clients initially referred on a particular matter continue to use the firm’s services on an on-going basis as their legal needs require.

Today, Rosenberg & Schapiro, P.C. has a broad, diverse, and growing practice. The firm is centrally located in the Government Center area of downtown Boston, directly across from the Old City Hall building.
